The gridlocked members of the congressional supercommittee should grab President Barack Obama and decamp to a tropical island. Specifically, they should visit Puerto Rico, where a courageous leader is using free-market reforms to reinvigorate this recently moribund U.S. territory.

Are you as exhausted as am I from hearing ‘journalists’ and supposed expert talking heads telling us “If only Obama would X (you fill in your own solution) he would put us back on the right track toward beginning to save our economy” or asking “Why doesn’t Obama do “Y” to help the economy?” The problem with these comments and questions is the presupposition that the dictator-in-chief actually wants to save the United States of America. Therefore he, all of the Marxist-Leninist Democrats (which means ALL Democrats) and RINOs (Democrat plants in the Republican Party) apparently decided long ago that they would go through a Kabuki-styled dance pretense and then turn over all power pertaining to the USA economy to Dictator-in-Chief Obama. The rumors that Boehner had been meeting in secret with Obama (against the American people) on a “Plan C” to combine the House plan and the Senate’s ideas for a dictatorship now appear to be accurate. Again, Mr. Limbaugh was correct.
Those who consider themselves constitutional conservatives should take care to consider not only the powers that the Constitution confers on the different branches of government and reserves to the states and the people, but also the schedule that the Constitution sets up for sharp changes and reversals of public policy.

In Racine, Wisconsin the local fireman’s union got into an imbroglio over a July 4th parade float honoring the fallen first responders of the Sept. 11 attacks, a parade entry that the union supported previously. This time, though, union bosses decided not to support the 9/11 memorial float because one of the firemen on the float opted out of the fireman’s union this year.
As if the American public’s tolerance for political chicanery hasn’t been tested beyond the breaking point, now comes news that several shyster Progressives and Democrats are floating the notion that the debt ceiling is – get this – unconstitutional. Far be it from me to ask, but why is it the only time Progressives and Democrats concern themselves with the constitutionality of issues is when its concern their ability to spend money?
