The federal government is claiming in court documents demanding the dismissal of a gun-law challenge in Montana the authority to regulate in-state commerce under the Constitution’s Commerce clause.

But the plaintiff in the case says the court needs to review that provision in its amended form – since the 10th Amendment, adopted after the Commerce Clause, can be viewed as modifying the Constitution’s provisions regarding the regulation of commerce, specifically granting additional authority to states.

The argument is arising in a lawsuit filed in Montana against U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and others. The complaint seeks a court order that the federal government stay out of the way of Montana’s management of its own firearms within state boundaries. Full Piece

In order to establish his Totalitarian Utopia—a utopia that is a “perfect state” for only the ruling elite and the ‘masses’ find it to be only a nightmarish existence—the Tyrant Barack Hussein Obama must shove his ObamaCare even more forcefully down the throats of the American people. Note: While he has effectively outlawed waterboarding (until the reign of Obama not determined “torture” by the laws of our land) for his terrorist compatriots, Obama is, with his blatantly anti-USA and anti-human policies, affecting almost daily torture sessions upon US citizens.

When questioned on Fox & Friends Wednesday as to whether or not Obama would address, during tonight’s State of the Union address, dropping his increasingly unpopular ObamaCare, Obama Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said resoundingly “No.” For all thinking people, the inarguable fact is that if Obama can establish his totalitarian state by forcing ObamaCare (which—of course—has little to nothing to do with health care) through, the new departments built into the Orwellian proposals (now over 100) will be the tactical foundation of Obama & Co’s planned Marxist Empire and his strategy to effectively remove the last vestiges of Americans’ freedom and liberties. This will also create a government system—after smashing the US Republic with his seizure of companies and all USA assets—that will allow Obama’s Marxist totalitarian government to exist as the tyrant dictates for as long as he, his Czars, mentors and adherents determine. Note: For all intents and purposes, that means “forever.”

And, with regards to the passage of ObamaCare, the increasingly arrogant Obama & Co member Madame Pelosi told the San Francisco Chronicle in no uncertain terms that the will of We-the-People was and is irrelevant when she said: “Regardless of Massachusetts, it will happen! Our eye is on the ball to pass legislation. In order to do that we have to resolve the differences. We will have quality, affordable health care for all Americans and it will be soon.” Suffice it to say, ObamaCare is none of these.

It appears that there are new closed door deals being affected between would be Dame Pelosi and Sir Harry Reid that will—again—bypass the people toward passing the draconian legislation that will eliminate the need for the Marxist Dems and other “progressives” the have to even consider the people‘s vote.

Folks, virtually everything I have written about The Obama over the last 2+ years has been proven true by his own actions. There’s no need to listen to what he says as his deeds are now diametrically opposed to his words. He will tell you anything in order to set up his formal dictatorship. If that occurs, you will also see the RINOs (Marxist/”progressive” plants within the Republican Party) supporting him even more (if that’s possible) than did John McCain; who pretended to campaign against him in 2008. You will also see more and more suppression from the ObamaGov. Eventually, people who oppose the tyrant will be chastised by the government and even jailed. as is prevalent in other similar systems. Even more anti-Obama messages and writings by anti-tyranny columnists will be deleted by and from search engines. As an example, my own listings have gone from over a million in Google 2-3 years ago to under 75K today. Obama does not like legitimate criticism and truthful exposure to the light of day. But, then, despots never do.

We-the-People are now only half a step away from the requirement of a real revolution if we want to save ourselves, our families and our country from the inevitable dictatorship and never-ending darkness that Obama & Co are bent upon forcefully establishing in our former USA. And in the words of the inimitable and Honorable Judge Andrew Napolitano: “Government is the negation of freedom. Freedom is your power and ability to follow your own free will and your own conscience. The government wants you to follow the will of some faceless bureaucrat.” Currently and ultimately this is what Obama & Co have planned for you—and all of us.

The ignorance of today’s Americans, about the way their country’s government was designed (By The Founders) to work, is not only lamentable—it is dangerous.

If you are one of those Americans decrying partisanship in the US Congress and you are educated enough to read this article, then there is NO EXCUSE for your ignorance.

Yes, I understand the Public School System in America rarely teaches American History and in many cases they don’t even teach European or World History and they certainly do not teach “Civics” anymore. (Pause) OK, for those of you younger folk who have NO IDEA what “CIVICS” is—the simplest explanation is this: Civics is the study of the rights and duties of citizenship. In other words, it is the study of government with attention to the role of citizens in the operation and oversight of government.

Back in the day, we actually studied Civics in High School. THAT is where I first got the idea in my head that I actually had a say in the way the US Government is run. It is a right I have exercised over and over ever since. I fear it is a right a large portion of the US population doesn’t even realize they have – because they were never taught CIVICS and never studied American History or European History and/or World History. You see, the combination of these three studies is dangerous to the ruling elite in America.

Those of us, who HAVE studied the history of this country and HAVE studied the Constitution and the government of the US—and our role in it—are extremely dangerous people. We KNOW when our leaders are snookering us, as they are today, for instance.

I have come to believe there is now, and there has been for some time, a deliberate effort to keep you and the generations that follow completely ignorant as to your constitutional rights—and even more important, how your government was designed, by the Founders of this country, to work.

Today we hear calls for “bipartisanship” from the Socialists/Progressives in Congress. They KNOW the Congress is SUPPOSED to be PARTISAN! That’s why there is more than one political party. Since the days of John Adams and Thomas Jefferson there has been partisanship in the government of the US.

Let us establish, right up front, that the Founders intended the government to be partisan. They intended to make the process of law-making a slow and tedious process. The idea was to insure that laws were not passed in “the heat of the moment” or, as we like to say today, as a “knee-jerk reaction.”

If thee was no partisanship in Congress laws would be flying through the hoppers of both houses and onto the law books, willy-nilly, and we would very quickly become a dictatorship of some kind. That would indicate that there was NO OPPOSITION to the ruling party. The representative republic, that is America, would cease to exist almost immediately. The ruling party would simply take over the government and run it as they saw fit and if you disagreed you would have no say, whatsoever, in the matter. I must say, our current government bears a great deal of resemblance to a dictatorship today.

Take a good look at the ruling party in America today… the “Marxists.” Oh, they prefer you call them “Progressives.” But be aware of this: the title “Progressive” has been used for decades in America as code for Marxist or Communist.

Now observe the manner in which the Obama Regime rules America. As Obama could not dissolve the Congress, as he gives every indication he would LIKE to do, he created a cadre of “Czars” to do his biding. These Czars did not have to be vetted by the Congress and there is no advice and consent from the US Senate sought.

The Czars exist only to do Obama’s bidding and they answer ONLY to him. I suspect as soon as someone challenges Obama’s “politburo of Czars” in the courts, they will be found to be unconstitutional and he will be ordered to disband them. That does not mean, however that they will not continue to serve Obama informally.

IF the AMERICAN people were up on their constitution and IF they had any knowledge of how their government is SUPPOSED to operate under that constitution, they would be demanding that Obama do away with his Czars—or be impeached for abuse of power, abuse of the office of President, and abuse of the American people.

But there is no hue and cry. Why? Ignorance. How is that possible? It is possible because the Public School System is run by the labor unions which are closely allied with Obama’s political party and his Marxist philosophy and they have turned the Public School System’s classrooms into Leftist Indoctrination Centers for America’s young.

Our kids are being indoctrinated in the same Progressive/Marxist philosophy favored by Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, et al. THAT is way they are ignorant of the constitution and the constitutional way our government is supposed to work—and that is why they do not understand partisanship in the Congress.

Boiled down—the American electorate is split between conservatives and progressives/Marxists. We both have strongly held beliefs and every individual has certain core beliefs that dictate how he/she sees the world around them. It is totally ludicrous to insist that we stop arguing. To do that, one side, or the other, would have to completely dominate the other. If and when that happens, democracy is dead.

Let’s face it. As long as Congress is busy fussing and arguing with itself, the people are somewhat safe. Actually, the only time I feel safe these days is when Congress is in recess.

Remember, when you hear someone arguing bipartisanship in Congress, what they are actually saying is they want the opposing side silenced so only their argument is heard. As I said, that spells the doom of democracy. In America partisanship is a GOOD THING. Bipartisanship is just plain dangerous to freedom.

Few thought it was possible, but a surefire conspiracy seems to be brewing. Energy, the heartbeat of the world, is the cusp in the coming tide. The theory of Peak Oil(1) is running rampant. Over 75% of the human population believe that he earth will soon run out of oil.. The US is producing less than 40% of the domestic crude it needs. It’s regulatory limitations have increased so much that a new oil refinery hasn’t been built in over 30 years. It’s environmental regulations have ‘built’ a wall around obtaining oil from the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS), ANWR, and oil shales. That can mean only one thing.

The current administration seems to want a global governance. That governance would be controlled by one person—a ruler of sorts over everything. The UN would control energy, economies, and lives. But Obama has the power to put America first again.

Before one pooh-pooh’s this as another ‘conspiracy theory’, consider this. America is literally dependent on foreign oil now. But an estimated 31 billion barrels offshore, 117 billion barrels under land managed or owned by the government, and 139 billion barrels beneath privately held land exist in America. Even though the US is clearly well-positioned to declare energy independence, it is handcuffed by regulations from purported oil leaks from platforms, transport leaks, and increasing CO2 loads in the atmosphere.

According to (A World Afloat on an Ocean of Oil// 6/15/08) American Daily: Contributor - Alan Caruba, oil seems to be available many places. We just haven’t accessed it yet. In the recently released 10/09 report by the U.S. Fossil Fuel Resources: Terminology, Reporting, and Summary, it readily shows how the US has a huge amount of oil, natural gas, and coal that hasn’t been accessed, but is there for the taking.

Amazingly, on 7/3/06 the Investor’s Business Daily editorial reported that no major spills were recorded as Hurricanes Rita and Katrina battered almost 3000 oil and gas drilling platforms operating in the Guf of Mexico. There have been operating oil platforms offshore in Britain and Norway for decades with no incidents, and oil platforms in Brazil have had the same performance. Per the Department of the Interior, more than 7 billion barrels have been produced in federal waters with less than 0.001% spilled.

Logically, a new device called the ‘breakaway’ valve has been used. Even if the entire platform is ripped a way, the pumped oil is immediately shut off. To put things into a better perspective, a National Academy of Sciences report shows 63% of the leaked petroleum in North American waters comes from natural seepage fom the ocean floor. According to Power Line - Where to Drill First, in Santa Barbara the local group Stop Oil Seeps advocates drilling there to improve the environment.

Bottom line—AmericanDaily: Life in a Box by Paul Driessen shows the existing administration stating an ‘official’ unemployment rate of 10.2%. But a closer look shows a number closer to 22% if you count all those who have given up trying to find a job. That compares to Americans working at 1.2 million new well paying jobs, just in the energy sector, found in Doc Hastings : Obama Blocks New Energy Exploration - Townhall.com . This would also include $70 billlion in additional wages each year (American Energy Alliance). Oh, that also includes 2.2 trillion in total tax receipts. Better add fewer unemployment checks being paid out. This increases US energy independence, and reduces the risk of terrorists threatening to disrupt an oil supply.

According to Driessen, many of our best energy prospects are off-limits, and locked up in over 5,000,000 acres of wilderness, refuge, park, recreation, endangered species habitats, ecological study areas, and “protective buffer zones”. The total of oil shale deposits in America makes any other country look pale in comparison. The Institute for Energy Research calculates oil shale deposits alone in America contain 1 trillion barrels of recoverable oil. That is nearly equal to the world’s total known conventional oil reserves.

On 12/28/09 we learned the US government is going to loan Petrobas, a Brazilian oil producer, up to $10 billion to finance the development of massive hydrocarbon reserves off Brazil’s coast. If successful, Brazil would transform into one of the world’s top 10 oil producers. Nothing but restrictions on the US.

It turns out The Myth Of Peak Oil destroys claims oil is only a fossil fuel, or a biological detritus of either fossilized remains of dinosaurs or algae. Amazing it has already been calculated that all the oil pumped, and in the ground now, is immensely larger than all the fossilized detritus that could have ever formed.

Restrictions on coal, nuclear energy, and natural gas all add at least 5 times to the numbers predicted above for America without current restrictions and regulations. Evidently this administration has something else in mind. How could they possibly be against more energy independence, higher employment, elimination of terrorist blackmail in the US, and more tax revenue?

Yes, Obama alone has the ability to pull America out of the demise it’s in now. All indications are he will not do that. In fact many didn’t catch it, but Obama even mentioned the US being in the ‘global’ economy during his State of the Union address on 1/27.

If we actually knew what Democrats discuss behind closed doors, we’d have a new admistration.

Kevin Roeten

The Last time Americans were this mad, they were colonists and the government, to which they were tethered, was across the Atlantic, in England, and paid no mind to the “bitching” Americans. Today the government is in Washington, DC. Little else has changed!

The end result of the first scenario above was revolution. The end result of the second scenario above may be the same thing!

The word “Revolution” is being used more and more by Americans in daily conversations and especially on the Internet, by bloggers, and everyday folks who comment on those bog sites.

If you happen to be a member of the US government and you just happen to be reading this blog, you had better take notice. Americans have had all they are going to take from a government that gives all indications that it doesn’t give a damn what we Americans, their constituents think, or what we want, or what we do not want. We never intended a “rogue” government such as we have today. We will not abide a rogue government such as we have today.

If you are an incumbent politician, you have better figure out a way to stop the November elections next year, or you will be out of a job, at least in Washington. If you DO stop the scheduled election, the pitchforks and torches will magically appear and Americans will, once again, take up arms to rescue their country from a government that is far, far, too big, far too powerful, and no longer represents the people of the republic. You have to go!

The Founding Fathers intended us to toss you people out on your butts when you became all the things you have become—and are today! They said so!

Admit it! You people are a bunch of Socialist, Marxists, Progressives/Communists, and only God, Himself, knows what else! I don’t know whom you represent—but you do not represent the American people.

And we are sick of it!

We have had our fill of your abuse of power, of your abuse of the American people. I mean, you have the unmitigated gall to pass a healthcare bill that will affect every American—except you and your families! How’s that for abuse of power, huh? How’s that for thumbing your nose at your constituents?

Just look at what you are doing. You are trying to pass a Cap and Trade bill that will raise our taxes, increase the amount we have to pay each year to heat our homes, to drive our vehicles, and heavens knows what else. The increase of taxes on fuel alone will drive prices up all across the board. EVERYTHING will cost more. Well, we are not going to allow that one out of the Senate without a knock-down, drag-out fight!

Next, you are about to hit us, for a third time, with another Amnesty Bill for illegal aliens in the US. The billions and billions that one is going to cost us is incalculable. We’re going to fight you all the way to the finish line on it just as we did last time. Seal the damn borders. Arrest and lock up all illegal aliens. Put them in detention camps, somewhere in the deserts of the southwest, until they can be deported. Can’t find ‘em? Put a bounty on their heads and we will be driving busloads of them to those detention camps within 24 hours! Where there is a will there is a way!

That damnable healthcare bill you passed out of the Senate is going to break the country and destroy the world’s finest healthcare system. 57% of us said NO; we’d rather have no healthcare bill at all than have that monstrosity. Yet you passed that thing through the Senate anyway. Well, the fight is NOT completely over—and believe me when I say—we are going to fight you for every last vote on it.

Look, just how stupid do you think we are, anyway? Do you not think that we understand that you are simply setting the stage for America to join a single one-world government as an “equal” country to all others? Do you not think that we understand that you do not believe in “American Exceptionalism?” Hell, we KNOW THAT! We’ve known that for some time now. See, we are way ahead of you there—and that is why YOU HAVE TO GO!

Pollsters tell us that 66% of Americans want smaller government and fewer government services. DID YOU GET THAT? Hell, NO! Even if you had heard us, you would have shrugged it off and continued on your merry way.

What a mess this country is in! In my nearly 7 decades on this earth, I have NEVER seen it in worse shape—and that includes all the wars in my lifetime.

We have a President so inept he can’t find his own rear-end with both hands and a bird dog. We have a Congress, which has gone rogue on us and set itself up as an oligarchy in which all power is vested in them as the dominant class or clique. America now has government by the few.

Americans are mad as hell! We will TRY to suffer your arrogance until November. But that is it. Either stand down by resigning while you still have a shred of dignity and respectability left or be driven from office by the waves of wrathful, angry, just plain MAD Americans who wish election day were today!

It’s been weeks since eyewitnesses reported that Maj. Nidal Hasan shouted “Allahu akbar” before spraying Fort Hood with gunfire, killing 13 people.

Since then we also learned that Hasan gave a medical lecture on beheading infidels and pouring burning oil down their throats (unfortunately not covered under the Senate health care bill).

The revelations that scientists at the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit (CRU) doctored the data supporting the global warming claims of the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) means that EVERYTHING attributed to or based upon “global warming” is invalid.

It means the Kyoto Climate Protocols that nations agreed to on December 11, 1997 and which entered into force on February 16 2005, and all subsequent agreements based on “global warming” have no validity, scientifically or as the basis for public action by any nation, state, province, city or town.

It means that Al Gore’s pusillanimous “documentary” is a fraud along with just about every other statement uttered by any scientist, academician, or politician claiming that something, anything, should be done to avoid “global warming.”

There is no “global warming”, if by that discredited term, you mean a dramatic increase in the Earth’s temperature, the vast rising of ocean levels, the melting of the polar ice caps, and the thousands of other things attributed to a massive fraud orchestrated by the IPCC and a vast network of scientists and environmental groups that benefited from the billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars they received in grants and other payments for their “research.”

Global warming, allegedly the result of rising levels of “greenhouse gas emissions”, primarily carbon dioxide (C02), underwrites the sale of “carbon credits” that industries, utilities, and other entities purchased for the “right” to use energy and as further revelations about the doctoring and virtual invention of false scientific data become known, it means those sales were a complete fraud.

It was never really a secret. You could have read about in “Climate of Extremes: Global Warming Science They Don’t Want You to Know” and a dozen other books I can put my hand on this very moment. The only thing missing was the proverbial “smoking gun” and the revelations about the CRU now confirms what the “deniers” and “skeptics” kept saying.

It’s worth keeping in mind that in several Northeastern States, utilities were required by law to purchase these worthless carbon credits and spend millions, not on improvements to the electric grid, not on building more capacity to serve their customers, but on what is worthless paper.

Someone needs to go to jail.

The release of thousands of emails and other data, now believed to be the work of a conscious-stricken CRU insider, will as they are examined in detail reveal what has long been known to those actively opposing the “global warming” fraud. As Christopher Horner, the author of “Red Hot Lies”, recently noted, the CRU and its lead scientists refused for years to release the data which they alleged proved that “global warming” was happening.

This data and the periodic reports of the IPCC are the basis for the existence of the IPCC, the Kyoto Protocol, and the “cap-and-trade” legislation awaiting a vote in the U.S. Congress. Horner observed “After running out of excuses, in September CRU’s Phil Jones simply claimed that he had lost the data so, sorry, no one can check it.” Horner called it “implausible beyond comprehension.”

And yet the United States and the representatives of many other nations will gather in Copenhagen in December for yet another UN conference on climate change, the now preferred synonym for “global warming.” Basing any international treaty on climate change or global warming is an utterly deceitful act.

The IPCC conference is based on the original Kyoto Protocol and, since there is no global warming, and since the science supporting it has been revealed to be false and misleading, no action should be taken other to disband the IPCC entirely.

All U.S. laws and regulations based on the so-called “global warming” should be reexamined and exorcised from the Congressional Register and from all state bodies of law. Most certainly, “cap-and-trade” should be withdrawn from further consideration.

Beyond that, school books about the environment must now be reviewed to determine how much of their content is invalid as well.

The undoing of this fraud must begin and begin NOW!

What do Adam Lambert, Cass Sunstein, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barack Obama have in common? They share it with countless other political leftists – those who can be described, variously, as “liberals” (a euphemism that belies the word’s roots and traditional meanings), as “progressives” (another euphemism that confuses or mislabels as progress what is merely invasive government control), often as “Democrats” and perhaps most accurately as “socialists.” They use the technology of popular culture mass-media - television and, increasingly, streaming/real-time or downloaded video and audio available online, which forms an increasing portion of Americans’ entertainment and news consumption - to tell us, over and over again, what we should think because they think it. This is a fundamental expression of insecurity. It is the need for validation, and it forms the backbone of all left-wing sociopolitical thought.

Never was this need for validation, this intolerance for disagreement, on more public display than since the election of our president. Previously in Technocracy, we discussed the disturbing prevalence of President Barack Hussein Obama on the nation’s television screens. Not content merely to win the election and to govern, Obama seemed, particularly in the first months of his presidency, to be obsessed with inflicting his clucking, stuttering visage on us in every conceivable venue, shrewdly using and then not so wisely overusing the power of technology to pervade American popular culture Full Piece

        label="Political Correctness" />

Harlingen, Texas, November 12, 2009: It started out as a mild virus initiated by the left of center intellectuals of academia. But, like every virus from computer carried to influenza, it spread rapidly through schools, hospitals, civil service, the media, companies, governance and the armed forces. Political correctness has poisoned all of America.

The famed author of children’s books, Anthony Browne has also written a telling examination of political correctness in The Retreat of Reason. Says Browne, “Political correctness is the ‘heresy of liberalism’ under which reliance on reason has been replaced on the emotional appeal of an argument. Adopting certain positions makes the politically correct feel virtuous, even more so when they are preventing the expression of an opinion that conflicts with their own. Political correctness is the dictatorship of virtue.”

Europe has seen political correctness applied everywhere. They have seen the rise of anti-Semitic attacks in England, France, Germany, and the Netherlands. The politically correct “truth” of these attacks being presented to the public has been White Neo-Nazi skinheads waged the attacks. The reality is, young Muslim men perpetrated most of the attacks.

From the United Nations we keep hearing that Africa is getting poorer with every passing day. According to Browne, it is charged that the West not giving Africa enough economic aid causes this poverty. Again, the truth is quite a different story. Africa is getting poorer because its various governments range from corrupt to politically ignorant.

Back home in the United States we find ourselves infected with political correctness starting at the White House and reaching into our smallest communities. Political correctness is used to justify the excessive immigration, extravagant guest-worker programs, the overseas outsourcing of job, foolish trade policies, and even more foolish energy policies. A left of center lap dog media has condoned excessive national debt, unemployment, oppression of taxpayers, and a collapse of the middle class by pointing its long finger at the previous administration. Again, the truth is quite different. If allowed to continue, the policies that created this sick economy and confused electorate will destroy our culture along with our economy.

There can be no greater example of political correctness than the Obama Administration and the Democrat controlled Congress. We are no longer fighting a global war against terror. The word ‘terror’ has been removed from current political language. We must understand why the Muslim world is upset with us. We must dialog. We must talk unconditionally and on and on.

The truth is we are hated by the Muslim world. It is not only political correctness, but also political madness to hear the words of hatred aimed at the West and not accept them as reality. Even the threats of Osama bin Laden were taken from the eighth and ninth chapters of the Koran.

“When you meet the unbelievers strike them in the neck…. If you do not go out and fight, God will punish you severely…Whenever you find the polytheists, kill them, seize them, besiege them, ambush them…You who believe do not take Jews and Christians as friends…The Hour of Judgement will not come until Muslims fight the Jews and kill them”.

Those are the words of the Koran, yet being politically correct we keep saying Islam is a great culture and a religion of peace and tolerance.

Ayan Hirsi Ali is a former Muslim who has been amazed at western denial of radical Muslim terrorism. She says, “This is Islam. This is based on belief.”

She is quoted in her book Infidel as saying of the 9-11 attacks, “It was not the lunatic fringe who felt this way about America and the West. I knew that the vast mass of Muslims would see the attacks as justified retaliation against the infidel enemies of Islam.” Our own political correctness would not allow us to take the same view.

We are now faced the new terror attack, striking our nation in Fort Hood, Texas.

American soldiers were killed or wounded at the hand of another American soldier who had told everyone he was a Muslim first and an American second. He killed crying out the words Allah Akbar, but we were told not to rush to judgment. Even the FBI said we should not consider this a terrorist attack.

Next we learned that Nidal Hasan has a history of suspicious behavior, including multiple emails to a known radial Islamic cleric. These were passed off as not even being worthy of detailed examination.

There is no doubt that political correctness has brought about a corruption of public debate. The poison of political correctness has spread itself throughout our country. The jury is still out as to it ultimately being the downfall of our society and the country.

Why believe that Obamacare will “bend the cost curve,” when government has repeatedly failed to cut costs of existing healthcare entitlements?

The Obama administration and fellow liberal-progressive-socialists in Congress have based much of their rationalization for Obamacare on its purported reductions in healthcare costs. But, for at least two decades, proposals by the Social Security Administration and Congress to cut Medicare costs have come to naught.

This is hardly surprising, since Congress’s modus operandi is spending money, and the more of it the better, from politicians’ viewpoint. Alexis de Tocqueville, celebrated author of Democracy in America, put his finger on the insurmountable problem in mid-19th century. The theory of socialism is “from each according to ability, to each according to need,” but, while the public’s needs may be quantifiable, its wants are unlimited.

Efficiency is a negative criterion in any government project. Remember that the Employment Act of 1946 committed the government to maintaining full employment. From the politicians’ viewpoint, it is better to employ excessive numbers of people, at higher costs, to enhance the image of helping the people. Congress’s $787 billion so-called stimulus extravaganza is a recent example.

There is the added benefit that Federal projects employ members of labor unions, and those unions are BIG contributors to liberal-socialist political campaigns. Healthcare involves the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), the largest and fastest growing union. Its boss Andy Stern, the public recently has learned, was the most frequent single visitor to the White House, meeting with President Obama 22 times in the first six months of this year.

The SEIU is all about mandating higher wages, higher benefits, and excessive levels of employees. Labor unions in the United States have always seen themselves as adversaries of business, and now of government. Whether a business or a government might be bankrupted by union extortions is never a serious consideration. Union bosses, among the highest paid executives in the United States, know that their members are firmly convinced that business and government can always afford to pay more.

Neither the SEIU nor other unions will agree to plans to save so much as a nickel without a gun at their heads. And Democrat/Socialists, even if they had such a gun, would refuse to point it at the labor unions, their largest campaign fund donors and source of campaign laborers.

We can also be certain that, to the extent that the Federal government undertakes ventures normally handled by private business, the result will always be inflation. Government projects inherently and inevitably are more costly and wasteful than those of private business, simply because private business has limited resources that must be employed effectively if the private business is to survive. The Federal government has what until recently has seemed a bottomless well of fiat money from the Federal Reserve.

The United States is not and will never be at war with Islam. - President Barack Obama, Address to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey - April 6, 2009, Ankara, Turkey(1)

We’re not at war with anyone. We’re at war only with people who represent mistruths as truth and that’s true of any network whether it’s Fox, CBS, or any other network when—when errors of fact are stated or when opinion is offered is fact, we will—we will challenge that.

David Axelrod
Senior Policy Advisor to President Obama
November 1, 2009
Interview on Face the Nation with Bob Schieffer
Washington, D.C.
http://www.cbsnews.com/htdocs/pdf/FTN_110109.pdf

While David Axelrod insists we are only at war with media outlets and others who tell the public things the White House doesn’t want to hear the last I checked we still have soldiers who are fighting wars in both Afghanistan and Iraq. And while President Obama insists the United States is not and never will be at war with Islam that doesn’t mean Islam isn’t at war with us.

We found this out the hard way on November 5, 2009 when a member of our own armed forces, Major Nidal Malik Hasan, shot and killed twelve fellow soldiers and one civilian as well as injuring twenty nine others at the Fort Hood military base in Texas. It was an act of terrorism pure and simple. If our military is charged with the responsibility of protecting us and if our military bases are not safe from amongst their own ranks then surely the intent is to undermine public confidence in our armed forces. The void created by a loss of public confidence is one filled by feelings of terror.

President Obama can content himself all he wants with false assurances that we ought not to “jump to conclusions” about Hasan or that “we can’t fully know what leads a man to do such a thing.” But when someone shouts “Allahu Akbar” and begins wantonly slaughtering people we have a pretty good idea of what Hasan’s motivations are. When someone praises the murder of Private William Long, an army recruiter in Little Rock, Arkansas, we have a pretty good idea that Hasan has no place in our military. When someone makes an effort to contact al Qaeda leaders to join their cause as Hasan did we have a pretty good idea that we are dealing with someone who is both a terrorist and a traitor.

Those who would attribute Hasan’s actions to some sort of made up on the spot, convenient, instant coffee mental disorder or otherwise make excuses for his actions do a grave disservice to the memory of those who died at Fort Hood. In fact, it does a disservice to all our soldiers who have lost their lives in Afghanistan and Iraq.

So when we take a moment on Veterans Day to remember those who were lost at Fort Hood and those who laid down their lives before them let us also remember the words of Osama bin Laden. In the fatwa issued in 1998, he wrote:

We—with God’s help—call on every Muslim who believes in God and wishes to be rewarded to comply with God’s order to kill the Americans and plunder their money wherever and whenever they find it. We also call on Muslim ulema, leaders, youths, and soldiers to launch the raid on Satan’s U.S. troops and the devil’s supporters allying with them, and to displace those who are behind them so that they may learn a lesson. ( http://www.pbs.org/newshour/terrorism/international/fatwa_1998.html )

This fatwa was issued during President Clinton’s second term. This fatwa was issued nearly three years before big, bad George W. Bush took the oath of office. This fatwa proves Islamic fundamentalists hated America well before President Bush and will hate America no matter how much President Obama might try to appease and satiate their appetites.

We should remember these words because they are in part what motivated the attacks of September 11, 2001. We should remember these words because they are in part what motivated the attacks against our soldiers serving in Afghanistan and Iraq. We should remember these words because they are in part what motivated Nadal Malik Hasan to fire upon his fellow soldiers and kill his fellow Americans.

A ranking US congressman said that he is concerned that President Barack Obama and his administration is being less than forthcoming with details of the Fort Hood Massacre and is withholding requested information.

U.S. Rep. Pete Hoekstra (R-MI), the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, claims that the Obama administration may be restricting the dissemination of information and limited information provided so far to the so-called “Gang of Eight.”

Congressman Hoekstra, following up on multiple conversations with the Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair, requested that Blair and the heads of the FBI, the NSA and the CIA direct their agencies to preserve all documents and materials relevant to the Fort Hood attack and any related investigations or intelligence collection activities.

“President Obama said people should not jump to conclusions about what happened at Fort Hood, but the administration is in possession of critical information related to the attack that they are refusing to release to Congress or the American people,” Hoekstra said.

“I intend to push for intense review of this and other issues related to the performance of the intelligence community and whether or not information necessary for military, state and local officials to provide for the security of the post was provided to them,” he said.

“I have requested this information be preserved because I believe members of the full committee on a bipartisan basis will want to scrutinize the intelligence relevant to this attack, what the agencies in possession of that intelligence did with it, who was and wasn’t informed and why, and what steps America’s intelligence agencies are taking in light of what they know,” Hoekstra said.

“At some point, it becomes necessary for us as a nation to address the uncomfortable threat of homegrown terrorism and radicalism, and Congress has an obligation to review how federal agencies are handling and disseminating information related to the threat,” he said.

“While American Islamist organizations are quick to condemn the Fort Hood massacre and are desperately trying to cast it as a mere criminal act, they have fueled the U.S. “war on Islam” canard since 2001. It has been used to squelch serious debate over their behavior and to discredit virtually all U.S. government efforts to combat Islamist terror. It should come as no surprise, though, that some jihadists hear this and feel compelled to “respond” to the imaginary threat,” said terrorism expert Steve Emerson of the Investigative Project.

“The horrific shootings at Fort Hood are a tragic reminder of the potential deadly consequences of the threat posed by homegrown Jihadism and the failure of the government to adequately respond to it,” added Hoekstra.

A former New York City Detective and Marine put Rep. Hoekstra’s message more bluntly: “This is another example of the US government being asleep at the wheel. Our President and his minions are doing more to take attention away from the terrorism aspect of this mass-murder than they are to identify the kinks in our armor in this war on terrorism.”

“I wouldn’t put it past those leaders to ‘lose’ or ‘misplace’ evidence of terrorism in this Fort Hood tragedy,” he said. “This is a White House that’s returned us to the days of Bill Clinton when the President repeatedly ignored the culprits involved in multiple terrorist attacks.”

The modern day conservatives of this country are following along in the footsteps of one of the early compatriots that in the early days of this country stood up against the established governing body to right the wrongs and injustices that were being handed down through over taxation and oppressive practices wrought by said governmental body. Just like Paul those that are attending Tea Party’s and attending Town Halls, Networking and participating to get the word out we are the common man and women. We are Americans first and foremost, we do not hold high office nor do we consider ourselves elite, common sense values and a deep rooted desire and fortitude to preserve the freedoms and conserve the liberties guaranteed by our founding fathers so long ago when they drafted the Constitution and set us on the course to afford those the inalienable Rights that they envisioned for us the keepers of the nation they fought and sacrificed for.

We are not the radicals that the media likes to portray us to be, unless you consider it radical to look at the most important manifest that shapes the heart and soul that is our nation! Just like Paul we choose to stand up against the over taxation of the citizens of this nation, you might even consider that in his day Paul was called many things from a radical to a patriot and he wore those labels proudly on his shoulders without regret as did all the common men that surrounded him and heard his cry on that night so long ago. They listened to his call that night and came together the next day on the squares of Lexington and Concord not to incite violence but to stand in the face of tyranny and oppression, just as today those men and even women stood there because they wanted better for their children and generations to come. We today stand together not because we want to incite violence far from it actualy, we stand together because we recognize the sacrifices that those that came before us and want to preserve the freedoms that they fought so gallantly for us to enjoy and conserve those rights for our children and follow on generations.

We are just like those folks from so long ago we are farmers, trade smiths, we are mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters. We are the common man that recognizes the shift in this country that is occurring away from those principles and values, we are the ones that look past the propaganda that a modern media can use to indoctrinate a population into believing that moving away from what has made this country the greatest county in the world and that is what the founding fathers laid down for us to follow. We are not the party of negativity, for that matter we are not exactly a party and we welcome all those from either party because we are a Belief we are an Ideoligy. We are folks that Agree to Disagree and we are folks that are well informed and have the fortitude to stand up for those that even disagree with us. We are the ones recognizing all the assaults flying under the radar to take away the rights that our founding fathers envisioned for us such as the freedom of speech and many others and we are growing in strength and we are watching your back even if you are willing to experiment with the notion that you would be better off sacrificing those freedoms.

We are the Sleeping Giant that is no longer asleep! We will gladly network and spread the word, we will gladly stand in the modern day square and we will gladly wear those badges that Paul and others wore so long ago because we are emboldened to the preservation of the freedoms and liberties that our founding fathers so sacrificed long ago. Today we have the call to be the modern day Paul Revere’s and work with our fellow Americans to expose just all the hidden attacks that are occurring on our Constitution and the Rights guaranteed within. Network people, Attend the Tea Party’s and Town Halls, Dig deep do not rely on just one source of information seek out all sides to form the bigger picture, and most important Participate as we are a participatory Governance!
