label="Guns/Self-Defense" />

The Sun-Times is Chicago’s left-wing, left-wing paper while the Chicago Tribune is but the city’s left-wing paper and pursuant to its agenda, the Sun-Times recently made to shore up support for Mayor “King” Daley’s attempt to eliminate the Second Amendment for his Chicago subjects with its headlined “More guns in city not a good thing(1).” Naturally most of what is contained in the piece is incorrect and deserves a good fisking.

So, here goes…

This won’t make the NRA happy. Twelve guns a year? How dare Chicago restrict a citizen’s right to buy 12 million guns a year.

My response here won’t make the Sun-Times happy: Newspapers? They have a constitutional right to be free of government interference, too. We call it the First Amendment. But here’s an idea for you, Sun-Times… how about we limit the public to one newspaper a month? After all, ideas are very, very dangerous, aren’t they? If, Sun-Times, you have no problem with our Second Amendment rights being restricted by the federal, the state or local governments, why should you be all upset that your First Amendment rights are restricted? Where is the intellectual honesty in agreeing to restrict the Second Amendment but not the First?

Five hours of training? How about five minutes?

Perhaps we should force newspaper writers and publishers to undergo “training” in order to observe their First Amendment rights? Why not?

For many of the rest of us, Chicago’s new restrictions on guns, pushed through the City Council on Friday, don’t go far enough. But it might be all the city can do, given the U.S. Supreme Court ruling last week that effectively tossed out Chicago’s broad handgun ban.

Ah, so The Supreme Court be damned, eh Sun-Times? The SCOTUS have ruled your stringent gun banning ideas to be unconstitutional, remember? Are you such a lawless, un-American institution to so casually dismiss the law of the land? Say, I guess this means that you are OK with Tim McVeigh, or abortion doctor killers? After all, they scoff at the law just like you do.

Our hope now is that Ald. Ed Burke (14th) got it right. Burke said Friday that the original 1982 ban, though he favored it then, might have gone too far, keeping handguns out of the hands of law-abiding Chicagoans who truly needed them for defense in tough neighborhoods.

Your “hope”? Plainly Burke was wrong to vote as he did in 1982.

And we certainly hope not to see more suicides with guns, more fights between husbands and wives that end with guns and more children accidentally killed by guns.

Nice strawman argument, Sun-Times. In fact, these crimes and conflagrations are not wildly higher after parts of the country that had stricter gun laws loosened those restrictions. You are merely scaremongering here, not reporting truth. Scoundrels like the Sun-Times always invoke their supposed concern about “the children” to justify their rampant fascism and general hatred of the United States Constitution.

And who knows—maybe all those new legal guns won’t eventually find their way into the hands of criminals. Sure.

Even logically this is a scaemonger’s sentence. “All” the guns ending up in the hands of criminals? Even logically we all understand that there is no way “all those guns” could possibly end up in the hands of criminals. The Sun-Times should be ashamed of this childish hyperbole

But in the long run, we fear, Ald. Freddrenna Lyle (8th) will be proved right.

“If people bothered to read as opposed to getting their news from the ‘Tea Party Times,’” Lyle said Friday, “they would understand and see that there is more harm done by the proliferation of handguns than there is benefit.”

Alderman Lyle is a partisan liar and the Sun-Times assists him in his lies. Statistics show that the proliferation of handguns does not increase crime. Author Don B. Kates, a fellow that makes both sides of the gun control issue mad, even states that more guns does not increase gun crimes. While saying that more guns seems to leave crime stats unchanged, he refutes many of the claims that leftist, anti-Second Amendment supporters make.

More guns do not, for instance, cause “regular people” to increase murder rates. Many anti-gunners say that more guns end up causing murders in homes of “regular people” as if the gun is some magical draw to insanity. He also shows definitive evidence that increased gun ownership in England and the U.S. both did not increase crime. Between 1973 and 1997, for instance, gun ownership in America increased 163% but homicide rates declined 27.7%.

So, what Alderman Lyle and the Chicago Sun-Times claim are provable falsehoods. But their goal is not truth. It is a political agenda of population control, destruction of the Constitution, and big government.

Not far from where I live in New Jersey, in Montclair, Richard and Cynthia Murphy were arrested as Russian sleeper agents, allegedly in the employ of the SVR, the successor to the famed Soviet KGB intelligence services that waged a covert war throughout the Cold War.

Much of the media attention was focused on a beautiful redhead, Anna Chapman, a Manhattan socialite who was charged as an unregistered agent of a foreign government, but largely unnoted was Mihail Semenko, a 28-year-old Seton Hall University graduate. I live in the same community where the university is located.

In all, ten people were arrested by the FBI, suspected of carrying out long-term “deep cover” assignments in the U.S. for Russia.

The ultimate “deep cover” agent, however, may well be Barack Obama.

My friend, Henry Lamb, writing on October 8, 2007 at Canada Free Press.com, said, “It is getting increasingly difficult to distinguish between the agenda of the Democratic Party and the agenda of the Communist Party.” He quoted Joelle Fishman, chairman of the Communist Party USA Political Action Committee and chairman of the Connecticut Communist Party.

“Our Party has an important role to play in keep the focus on the fight for a new direction in our country for jobs, healthcare, and an end to the war. This is how the 2008 elections will be won.” Universal healthcare, a major objective of the Obama administration, has since become the law of the land. The emphasis on withdrawal from Iraq and a specific date for withdrawal from Afghanistan has been another objective.

The campaign team, several of whom now serve as advisers to Obama, was composed of people with deep ties to the “progressive”, i.e., communist movement in America. Valerie Jarrett, a senior advisor, was aware that former Green Czar, Van Jones, had a long history of involvement in Communist Party causes. When this was exposed, he resigned.

Jarrett married into a family with Communist Party involvement. Her father-in-law, Vernon Jarrett, worked closely with Obama mentor and a Communist Party leader, Frank Marshall Davis, who was a member of a number of front groups during the Cold War years. It was Davis whom Obama’s grandparents enlisted to mentor him during his formative years growing up in Hawaii.

Political advisor, David Axelrod, has a long history of working for socialist causes. His mother wrote for a New York City tabloid, PM Magazine that often promoted the Communist Party line. Much of the publication’s funding came from Marshall Field, a leftist millionaire who also funded Saul Alinsky’s training school for community organizers.

Carol Browner, the energy and environmental advisor, was a former director of the Environmental Protection Agency under President Clinton. Significantly, she was a member of the Commission for a Sustainable World Society of the Socialist International until that was revealed and her name was scrubbed from the organization’s website on January 7, 2009. Both she and Todd Stern, the Environment Czar, are strong advocates of Cap-and-Trade legislation.

A litany of high level advisors with strong socialist agendas surrounds the President.

Experts in spy craft are not inclined to regard the arrested agents as a small group to be dismissed as bumblers in the employ of the Russian Federation, the successor to the failed Soviet Union. None, however, have been charged with espionage.

Nina Khrushcheva, the daughter of former Soviet premier, Nikita Khrushchev, and a professor of international affairs at the New School in Manhattan, said, “We are pretty sure there are some dark forces overseeing Russian security. That’s how we do things. That’s how we used to do things. And people don’t think that it has changed.”

In a memo to the Murphy’s, their Russian handler reminded them, “You were sent to USA for long-term service trip. Your education, bank accounts, car, house, etc—all these serve one goal: fulfill your main mission, i.e., to search and develop ties in policymaking circles in U.S. and send intel (intelligence reports) to (center).”

Many questions regarding Obama’s past remain hidden. Beyond the issue of whether he is a natural born citizen eligible to hold the office, most of the paper trail concerning his education at Occidental College in Los Angeles, followed by Columbia University and Harvard, and the funding for his tuition, his travel to Pakistan as a youth, and other factors normally made public during a campaign are still kept secret.

In his memoir, “Dreams of my Father”, Obama wrote, “To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors…”

Perhaps most telling is his political rise that began in the Chicago living room of former Weatherman domestic terrorists, William Ayers and his wife Bernadine Dohrn, who held a fundraiser for his campaign to become a senator in the Illinois legislature. In a book, “Sixties Radicals”, Ayers described himself, saying “I’m a radical, leftist, small ‘c’ communist.”

Obama and Ayers had spent three years together serving on the board of the Woods Fund. Obama’s campaign claim that he knew the Ayers only because they lived in the same Chicago neighborhood was patently false.

The members of the Russian spy group lived a false life while allegedly serving the interests of their handlers. One can only wonder if Barack Obama’s life has also been devoted to the same communist agenda as the ultimate agent of influence?

It’s becoming obvious BDO(1) is most probably a sock puppet for somebody.

Suggestions have been made that he is owned and operated by George Soros. Others have ventured he is a USSR plant.(2)

Whatever, it is very obvious that BDO doesn’t exist in terms that regular folks must document. BDO has spent well over a million dollars to block his historical identity (if it really exists).

The Obama Regime is well documented as to wishing the USA to become a Socialist Banana Republic in its actions, deeds and statements.

One could be kind and suggest his Regime is so inept because BDO is an intellectual mush-mind but that would be a real stretch.

As so far revealed, we see a mixture of Chicago style political thuggery, Fascism, Marxism, outright elitist arrogance and Socialism demonstrated by the Obama Regime.

Obviously there is a Progressive “grand vision” being perpetuated on the USA. It is also obvious that the Demercrat controlled Congress is glad to participate.

The fabricated “economic crisis/disaster” in September 2008 helped propel BHO into the Presidency (with some help by Progressive RINO candidate John McCain).

President Bush was complicit, blind-sided or totally naive by allowing the BDO agenda to start taking hold even before BDO “became ruler”.

The term “ruler” was straight from the mouth of a BDO transition team executive.(3)

It is obvious that BDO is totally handicapped when speaking in public unless TOTUS is around to tell him what to say.

And so we now have Supreme Ruler Leader Barack “Chavez” Obama rapidly undermining The Republic trying to reduce the USA to a Socialist Banana Republic.

Unfortunately he is experiencing some success: ObamaCare was a great step toward destroying our superior healthcare system, Federalizing student loans is just a Fascist scheme, the pending “financial reform bill” is a pure Fascist move, “Government Motors” is just that etc.,etc…

Thankfully BDO has openly attacked the Supreme Court and exhibited total disdain for the Congress, the Courts and the States. Those moves are beginning to generate serious push-backs on multiple-levels.

To his “credit” BDO is just trying to finish the grand Progressive schemes of Teddy Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, FDR and LBJ.

Our Republic is spiraling downward as each day passes. The coming Demercrat “Lame Duck” Congress is planning to “get even” before they are deposed in January.

We can thank the “mindless voters” and the Progressive Republicrat machine for BDO..

Oyez! Oyez! Oyez! All those with business before the court of public opinion will draw near. A bill of indictment has been issued for Barack Hussein Obama, President of the United States of America. It is a call for justice from the people of the United States who allege that he is engaged in the destruction of their nation.

For the court’s consideration, it is alleged:

That he secured the office of President by falsely stating he is a natural born citizen of the United States without providing irrefutable documentation and witnesses thereof,

That he associated with persons known and unknown to hold anti-American views antithetical to the conduct of his office, to include a convicted felon, an unrepentant former domestic terrorist, among too many others to innumerate,

That he has created an unaccountable level of governmental policy-making with the largest expansion of presidential advisors, “czars”, in the history of the executive branch,

That, while in his first six months, he bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia and Emperor of Japan, an act that contradicts the primacy of the office of the U.S. presidency,

That, in contradiction to his sworn duty to protect the nation, he announced the termination of the U.S. space defense system the day after North Korea launched an ICBM,

That he ordered the release of memos regarding the interrogation of terrorists interned in U.S. facilities at Guantanamo, making known to the Islamist enemies of the nation the manner of their interrogation,

That he appointed as Secretary of Homeland Security, an individual who ordered that the word “terrorism” be replaced by the term, “man made disasters,”

That, during his first six months in office, he doubled the U.S. national debt, currently at an unsustainable level, threatening the value of the U.S. dollar,

That he signed into law a “stimulus” bill, the bulk of whose funds were allocated to government employee unions under the guise of generating millions of new jobs in the private sector,

That he signed into law a “Troubled Asset Relief Program” that, contrary to the Constitution, promoted short term private benefit, rather than the general welfare, while evading the constitutional requirement of equal protection, saving some businesses while letting others expire,

That he by-passed the established legal process of bankruptcy to seize control of General Motors and Chrysler auto manufacturers, benefiting unions to the loss of creditors,

That, in collusion with the majority leaders of the House of Representatives and the Senate, he initiated and engineered the passage of legislation that nationalized the healthcare industry despite overwhelming opposition by the American People,

That he has participated in national and international conferences to advocate the discredited theory of global warming and continues to advance Cap-and-Trade legislation based on it; a massive tax on energy use that will undermine the recovery of the economy,

That he has failed to protect the United States by failing to secure its southern border with Mexico and is threatening to take legal action against Arizona, a sovereign State that has passed legislation in lieu of that failure,

That he has consistently advocated “global government” over the sovereignty of the United States,

That he declared his intention to “bankrupt” the coal industry, responsible for one half of the electricity generated to serve the needs of Americans,

That he failed to take immediate and effective action to deter widespread ecological and economic damage to States bordering the Gulf of Mexico following an accident on a BP deepwater oil rig, including a “moratorium” on oil drilling that threw thousands out of work,

That he continues to advocate “a clean energy future” when such energy, solar and wind, exist only because of government subsidies and mandates, are a dangerously unpredictable source of electricity, and produce less than three percent of the electricity generated nationwide,

That two private investigators have asserted he is using a Social Security number set aside for applicants in Connecticut while there is no record he ever had a mailing address in that State and that the number was issued between 1977 and 1979. Obama’s earliest employment reportedly was in 1975 at a Baskin-Robbins in Oahu, Hawaii,

And, for these and other hidden records regarding his birth, his overseas travel to Pakistan, college records, medical records, and other means of verifying a legitimate claim to hold the office of the President,

We, the People of the United States of America demand that impeachment proceedings be initiated or that cases pending before the courts be adjudicated at the earliest possible time to prevent further damage to the economy and security of the nation.

One of the most astute and witty political and cultural journalists of our time, Mark Steyn, recently mocked President Obama as a “modern major generalist”(1) in reference to Obama’s over-arching, bloodless speeches, pedantic dependence on failed political theory and tanking presidency. Steyn so enjoyed his pun that he used it again in a different article(2) and who can blame him? It’s a brilliant observation but how many readers are even familiar with Gilbert and Sullivan’s song, I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major General, in particular and it’s operetta in general, The Pirates of Penzance?

Harlingen, Texas, June 2010: It is official, After personal comments about the civilian leadership had been voiced by General Stanley McChrystal and his Aides, he is gone and General David Petraeus will assume command in Afghanistan.

This does not mean our military personnel on the ground in that war zone will develop any greater fondness for the civilian establishment there. As was the case in Vietnam, most of our troops will view the civilians who command them with suspicion. But, those same military personnel will be showing much more caution when speaking about their leaders in front of the media.

The unanswered question is; Why do our men and women in uniform feel so contumacious toward their civilian leadership? Much of the anxiety may well be due to irrational rules of engagement that are forced on combat troops be the key civilians who view everything from a political spectrum.

The Good Lord knows my combat strategy is really limited to what I could observe through the sights of my rifle in those long ago days of my youth. My last combat command decisions were made more than 45 years ago when I was ordered to have my Marines defend the parameter of a Seabee base under attack by the Viet Cong. With those to items as qualifiers, I can still state without reservation that no war was ever won on defense. It is also a truth that no military unit can function at peak efficiency when it is saddled with unrealistic rules of engagement.

I for one, see shadows of Vietnam in just about everything we are doing in Afghanistan. We are trying to prop up a very corrupt and unpopular government, drive out an enemy force that is a historical occupant of the territory under dispute, hold on to terrain without the troop strength to occupy the territory for any extended period and do all of these things while operating under a convoluted rules of engagement policy that few can either understand or defend.

Back in the early days of Vietnam, when it was just an “operation” and not a “war’, I remember how we would draw perimeter defense duty to protect our base in DaNang. Even then, we had those crazy rules of engagement. For example, all of us along the perimeter manned our posts without ammunition in our weapons. Under the rules of that time, all ammunition was kept in a locked bunker. There was an ammunition officer who had the only key. Our instructions were, if we received enemy fire, the ammunition officer would unlock the bunker, issue the ammo and we would then engage the enemy.

Anyone with half a brain thought this was an insane approach to perimeter defense. What if the first person hit or blown up was the ammunition officer? What were we supposed to do if that happened? Needless to say, there was not a person on the line who did not have a hidden stash of ammo on his person.

Troops who were stationed in Saigon at that time went to their duty assignments every day wearing helmets and carrying there assigned weapons and ammunition. They were all cautioned that there was a war being fought and they must always be ready for battle. However, they were also allowed to wander the city at night, frequent eating establishments, shops and bars. When strolling those streets in the dark of night, they were NOT allowed to carry any weapons. Go figure!

Today in Afghanistan our soldiers and Marines may only return fire when under attack, are refused air strikes and artillery support, and have even been denied smoke coverage when they needed to conceal their movements. All of this is supposed to reduce any civilian casualties. That may be one result, but, it is also true that more and more of our own military personal are being wounded or killed. In addition, their movements are being restricted and they are being reduced to a defensive posture, not having sufficient strength of force to keep waging an ongoing attack. Territory that should remain occupied to protect the civilian population is often left undefended.

Of the 40,000 troops requested to meet the needs of a sustained offensive operation, the President only granted 30,000. Even that number has not been received. At last count there were still 10,000 promised troops who had not been deployed to Afghanistan and their ranks remain unfilled today.

So, now we have lost a general, promised troops have not arrived and those strangling rules of engagement remain in place. .Dare we ask the big question…are we really winning the war?

How much worse can it get? Since 2007, the Democrat-controlled Congress, coupled with the Obama regime after 2008, has done great damage to our personal liberty and our free-market economy. Now it seems they are just getting started.

Here’s the scorecard so far: Bailouts of “too big to fail” fat cats funded by a “too big to ever pay back” debt saddled on an out-of-work public and their progeny. The takeover of the car business for the benefit of the UAW was paid for by more debt with congressional committees now designing transmissions. Then there was the federalization of all health care with 32 new taxes and huge new bureaucracies requiring you to buy a health insurance policy that the feds design from a private company at a price that company sets. Finally, there was the federal takeover of the mortgage business with subsidized mortgages to unqualified borrowers in an attempt to re-inflate the real-estate bubble. Full Piece

it was estimated by Mexico’s Human Rights Commission that over 9,000 Central American’s were abducted in a six month period by gangs in the country and were ransomed to relatives already living in the United States.

The Current Bill passed in Arizona is an enforcement bill that compliments current laws already on the books and goes to address the fact that Phoenix is the Number Two capitol for kidnappings worldwide behind Mexico City , this is a ranking Worldwide not just North America!

We see so many people up in arms over the fact that many are calling for enforcement of laws that we have to follow in the attempt to play on the heartstrings of a compassionate society , but where are these same people protesting the fact that these migrants that were abducted that have survived this ordeal in Mexico have reported how “migrants” were tortured and killed if the money failed to arrive on time.

Set aside the fact that both Parties are pandering over this issue when it has been polled that over 70% of Legal citizens from all walks of life call for enforcement of our laws and border security. I pose this question if that many people support enforcement how can it be strictly a racial issue? No many are tired of the fact that we can no longer stand idly by while we are held to our laws and are asked to not recognize the fact that we face serious problems from allowing this issue to get to the point that it has.

We cannot blame the individual for wanting to escape from the circumstances that they faced in their home countries , and we cannot discredit the fact that they only want a better life for their children but we do need to recognize the fact that they are being played as pawns by both parties and by the leaders of groups on both sides of this issue. For one we need to recognize the fact that it comes down to power and control and has nothing to do with race even though many would like you to believe that is the issue. Power and control comes in the form of future votes and in the form of a quasi slave labor force, and I again pose the question where are all those that are out marching in support of this issue addressing this issue of human rights? Where are all the Unions who are supposed to stand up for labor in protest of the fact that this segment of labor has been continually exploited and the fact that the rolls of Union members have been reduced due to the fact that jobs have been replaced by these workers. The answer to that of course is that they are looking to organize these individuals to expand their roles as well and that is why you see them involved as well but it is at the sacrifice of current and former members again with no regard to human rights but with an eye on power and control.

The fuzzy numbers game is being played out on a day to day basis where it is now estimated that if a Amnesty bill is passed that we would increase our legal population by 10-12 million people where only three years ago those numbers were estimated to be around 20-30 million and currently we have an estimated 15 million unemployed and the rhetoric of the current health care debate estimated that we would cover 30 million new people the question is who will really be covered under that health care bill and who was really behind its push. Again it is not about Human Rights or Race but about power and control and you and I are the ones that are the sacrificial lambs in this issue for the very fact that we are allowing ourselves to be played as pawns in this game and the time has come to say that we will not be played as such and that we can no longer sustain the very fact that we can no longer support the twisting of the truth behind this issue.

I would hope that people will open their eyes on Saturday May 1st when all across this country people will march in support over Amnesty and the true significance to May Day because again it has nothing to do with Human Rights.

So Gordon Brown has met his nemesis in the deadly form of an Ordinary Voter. Why should this surprise anybody? There is a reliable history of Leftwing politicians having disastrous encounters with the reality of most people’s lives and concerns.

Joe the Plumber famously provided the most damaging chapter of Barack Obama’s presidential campaign when he confronted the future president with the consequences of Democratic tax policy on small businesses like his own. And in that case too, it was not the comments from the archetypical citizen that were so disastrous for the political leader: Joe Wurzelbacher was simply presenting an opposing point of view which could be seen as part of the give-and-take of familiar political debate. What was so dangerous for Obama were his own words. He made the mistake of framing his reply in Leftist ideological terms: he believed, he said, that “when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.” Full Piece

“His book, Blue Planet in Green Shackles, published by the Competitive Enterprise Institute, charges that the movement to “save” the environment has been taken over by ideologues who favor total government control over our lives. He says it can be considered a form of communism, socialism or even fascism. Whatever you call it, the result will be the extinction of human freedom. ( http://www.aim.org/aim-report/the-new-communism/ )

The aim in both cases is to replace the free, spontaneous evolution of the world (and humankind) by the would-be optimal, central or - using today’s fashionable adjective - global planning of world development.
